Wallowa Lake is the best body of water in the state of Oregon to fish for Kokanee or Rainbow Trout. Wallowa lake boasts Oregon State record Kokanee.
The Wallowa and Lostine River is excellent
rainbow trout fishing habitat. The high lakes are brimming with brook
trout just waiting for you to hike in and try your luck.

Steelhead Fishing
The Imnaha river and the Wallowa and Grand Ronde river are excellent rivers to fish for the big ones.
Deer and Elk Hunting
Wallowa County offers the finest elk hunting country in the world. Mountain View offers the services hunters like, such as a place to hang and skin your animal as well as cabins with kitchens, decks, and barbecues. Or maybe you just need a shower from the showerhouse. Mike has been known to guide people just for the fun of going along on a hunting trip.
Bear Hunting
Bears are widely found all over Wallowa County. But there are especially high concentrations in the Imnaha country.
Cougar Hunting
High concentrations of cougar are now to be found in the Wallowa Region. We encourage hunters to take advantage of the incredible opportunity afforded them in Wallowa County.
Coyote Hunting
Coyote's are found in good numbers. See Mike on the best bets.
Squirrel Hunting
The Wallowa Valley offers high concentrations of squirrels with eager land owners anxious to see you come to control this pest. Squirrel hunting is building to become extremely popular, especially during March, April, and May.
Duck Hunting
Wallowa County is a great place to hunt ducks. Ducks are plentiful and are often scared up not only when you expect them, but when you don't expect them.
Grouse Hunting
High concentrations of grouse are found in all of the timbered areas of the region. See us for pointers on where the highest concentrations are found.
Chukar Hunting
Chukars are found wherever there's breaks overlooking the canyons. Our area has hundreds of miles of prime chukar country.
Turkey Hunting
I have always been amazed by the concentration of turkey and where they're to be found in our area. This is some of the finest turkey country in the nation.
Quail Hunting
Valley and Mountain quail are widely scattered throughout the county.
